Where NGOradar comes from

NGOradar is built and run by Weltweit – Gesellschaft zur Förderung lokaler Initiativen e. V., a registered non-profit association in Bad Soden, Germany. Its work is with locally led initiatives and with the students and alumni who bridge between them and the institutions that fund them: training in project planning and monitoring, networking between people and organisations, and help finding the money a project needs. The same problem kept coming back in that work. The opportunity a project needed usually existed somewhere — a call, a fellowship, a course, a partner looking for exactly this — and finding it meant knowing which newsletters to read and which funder pages to check, week after week. That is a full-time job nobody had.

Action Network Worldwide grew out of that: a platform for the same three things the association had been doing by hand — training, networking, and finding the resources a project needs — for members across dozens of countries and thematic spaces. The opportunity side of it turned out to be useful on its own. Collecting calls several times a day, checking and classifying them, and matching them to what an organisation actually works on is a distinct piece of machinery — and plenty of people need exactly that piece, without a platform around it. NGOradar is that piece, sold on its own.

actionnetwork.world is the platform itself, where the Solo and Organisation plans are sold: workspaces, a wiki, funder intelligence, proposals and reporting.

ngostack.org is the site for the Organisation plan specifically — the same platform for a whole team, with the things an organisation needs rather than an individual.

ngoradar.org is this site: the opportunity marketplace, on its own. A membership here covers NGOradar and nothing else — it does not open the platform or its community. Moving up to Solo or Organisation is what does, and your focus areas and matches belong to your account, so they come with you. What each plan costs is on the pricing page.

One search surface for the work that used to mean a folder of newsletters: 1,503 open opportunities across 62 countries, collected several times a day, checked and classified. Not only grants — events, courses, collaborations, volunteering, mentorship, skills and services sit beside the funding calls, because a course that sharpens your team can be worth as much as a grant.
